Fiona Donnelly

Fiona Donnelly is a painter based in Mingenew, in regional Western Australia. She began painting portraits in her teens. Today, her work also includes landscapes, flowers and mixed media. Country skies, changing seasons, animals and gardens inform her attention to colour, pattern and connection.

Fiona studied art privately with Szabolcs Oravecz in Hungary. Her lessons and visits to exhibitions there broadened her experience of art and helped shape her work.

Her current interior paintings combine expressive acrylic brushwork with decoupage. Fiona’s work has been shown in exhibitions, and she has received a People’s Choice Award. She hopes her paintings offer enjoyment and leave room for each viewer’s own memories and sense of home.
